6016 T6 Aluminum Sheet for Boat
In the field of ships, the application of aluminum alloys on ships is gradually expanding. So far, 5000 and 6000 aluminum alloys are used for ship hull and ship construction respectively. They include 5083, 5086, 5052, 5383, 5454, 5456, 5754, 6063 and 6061 sheet metal.
In August 1931, the United Kingdom built the "Diaina" all-aluminum yacht, and the material was Al-Si alloy. The UK built the all-welded hovercraft AP188 in the 1980s. The shell was made of aluminum alloy 50o83 and the profiles were made of aluminum alloy 6082. The United States used aluminum alloy to build the "LARC-15" landing craft with 5086 as the main material, while some welded structures used 5083 and 6061.
Since intergranular corrosion occurs in seawater, Al-Mg-Si alloys are mainly used for the superstructure of ships. Japan uses 6N01-T5 aluminum alloy in the superstructure of ships, while the United States uses 6061-T6 aluminum alloy.
6061 aluminum sheet belongs to 6 series alloy, and the alloying elements are magnesium and silicon. 6061 aluminum plate has medium strength, good corrosion resistance and good oxidation effect. It is often used in some industrial structural parts with high corrosion resistance and certain strength, such as trucks, tower buildings, ships, trams, rail transit, etc.
Its common tempers are 6061-t6, 6061-T651, 6061-T652 aluminum plate, T6 is the state of artificial aging after solution heat treatment (quenching) to improve the strength and hardness of the aluminum plate. The hardness of 6061 t6 aluminum plate can reach above 95-100HB in this state.
6061 aluminum tread plate is often used for the deck of ships. Compared with 5052, 5754 and 5083 pattern aluminum plate, its hardness is higher. At the same time, due to the addition of silicon alloy, the wear resistance of this series of aluminum plates is better. Its man patterns are 5 bar and compass, which play an important role in aesthetics, anti-rust and anti-skid.
