Cupro Nickel Fittings
What are cupro nickel fittings
90/10 Copper nickel (B10/C70600) is an alloy with 90% copper, 10% nickel plus tiny iron and manganese traces, widely adopted for marine seawater pipelines.
It excels at resisting seawater corrosion from chloride ions, stopping pitting, crevice, stress and flow erosion. Its corrosion rate in seawater is far lower than carbon steel and pure copper, and it avoids marine biofouling and scaling effectively.
The material balances great thermal conductivity, strength and ductility, with excellent hot/cold forming and welding performance. It works reliably under tough marine conditions and lasts 3–5 times longer than conventional pipes, bringing obvious economic advantages.
This alloy can be manufactured into full-series pipe fittings like elbows, tees, reducers, flanges and pipe caps, all customizable to match various pipe sizes and design standards for pipeline connection, transition and sealing.
The fittings serve ship seawater cooling, ballast, fire-fighting and delivery systems. They also fit offshore platform heat exchange, desalination pipelines, plus coastal power and marine refinery seawater circulation pipelines, acting as vital parts for corrosive marine piping systems.
