This means that when other conditions such as thickness are the same, a boat made of 5083 aluminum alloy can withstand more impact without breaking or deforming than a boat made of fiberglass, steel plate, or 5052 aluminum alloy. 5083 aluminum alloy also has very good welding properties.
The content of Mg and Mn in the 5083-h116 aluminum plate is controlled at a medium and upper limit, which can ensure that the strength properties of the material meet the requirements. At this time, the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the material are also good.
Cr plays a supplementary strengthening role in 5083 alloy, which can increase the recrystallization temperature and Ti refines the casting structure. Special attention should be paid to controlling the content of impurities Fe and Si. When the Fe content is high, the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the alloy are reduced; compared with Fe, Si has a greater negative impact on plasticity. The mass fractions of Fe and Si should be controlled below 0.25% respectively.
